As part of our heavy weather survival series, I have written at length about our method for deploying and retrieving our Jordan Series Drogue™ (JSD). However, because Morgan’s Cloud heaves-to so well, it is all theory since we have never had to deploy our drogue in anger—thank God.
So, we were fascinated by an eMail we received from AAC reader Paul Kirby, who recently deployed his series drogue, based on Don Jordan’s design (SDDJ), in what sounds to us like a true survival situation:
