Some of you may not be aware that we have an AAC Supporter membership for US$120/year.
We created it because many of our long-term members kept insisting that we were not charging enough—how nice is that.
To be clear, there is no content that Supporters get that the rest of you valued members don’t.
However, Supporting members get invited to an annual group online meeting with me (John) to talk about pretty much anything they want.
Not only do Supporters get my focus on whatever their challenges are, but also that of the other attendees.
Last year was our first time and it was both fun and informative—I certainly learned a lot.
This year the meetings (two times to accommodate different time zones) will be on Saturday March 8th.
Upgrade or Join to Attend
No pressure, we value all of you members.
But if you would like to attend the meeting, join as a Supporter or upgrade your membership (see below) before March 8th and you will get an email with details on how to register for the meeting.
Upgrade From Annual Recurring Memberships
If you have an Annual or Legacy Annual membership, you can upgrade to Supporting—click on Change Plan on the form below and choose Supporter—and the remaining amount on your old membership will automatically be credited against the new.
No Upgrade From One Time Memberships
Unfortunately, upgrading does not work for 1 Year and 3 Year memberships, so although you can buy a Supporting membership, any remaining amount on your old membership will not be credited. Sorry, it’s a limitation of the software. That said, you can check how much you have left on the form below:
If you don’t see your membership details, login (scroll down below the pink boxes). Or if you are not already a member:
John probably won’t be alone; I’m planning to join these sessions as well. Should be fun!
Is there a recording of this available for those of us who missed it due to inconvenient time zones?
Hi Paul,
No I have not published a recording. To do so I would feel it necessary to get specific OK from each of the participants and even then I’m not sure I would be comfortable with publishing it. We did have two meetings to cover the time zone issue. Did neither work for you? And if so, where were you so I can crank that into the time choice for next year.
Actually, now that I look back at the date, I don’t think it was the timezone but that my boat was hauled out undergoing a refit and I was really busy operating to other people’s time exigencies. I have a vague memory of registering but not being able to make it, probably because I was too exhausted!
Hi Paul,
Totally get that, refits are all consuming and adding in that we are always working around the yard and others there is just no time for anything else. Glad to hear it was not the time zone issue.
