We have not published anything for ten days and probably won’t for another week or so.
Our all-too-short sailing season is coming to a close and so Phyllis and I are taking some time off to go sailing.
Not to worry though, as soon as we get the boat hauled in early October we will be, to use that charming Newfoundland expression, face and eyes into it.
Articles either finished, or in progress, include:
- A deep analysis of alternator options with particular focus on high efficiency 48-volt options that are often sold as generator replacements.
- A review of Victron Super Cycle Batteries.
- Matt has taken a fascinating look at what it would take to make his budget-friendly inshore cruising boat ocean ready.
- A review of the Orca Navigation System. Is it a plotter killer and how does it compare to TZiBoat running on iPad?
- A two-part explanation from Matt on how to use design ratios to make better boat buying decisions.
It will be an interesting fall and I have plenty more ideas in mind for the winter.
