John at The US Sailboat Show in Annapolis

I’m attending the US Sailboat show in Annapolis. So if you see an old guy in a dumb hat ogling boats and gear, say hi.

Annapolis Panel Discussion

And, talking of the boat show, I will be joining Andy and Mia of 59 North in a panel discussion on How We Think About Sailing on Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Note that you need to register ahead of time and pay US$35.00.

My fellow panelists:

Meg & Morgen from Ocean Racers
Brian Trautman of SV Delos
Pete Goss of Vendee Globe fame

Join us, it should be fun and interesting.

Click on the pics below to check out Andy’s podcasts with each of us.

He has sailed over 100,000 miles, most of it on his McCurdy & Rhodes 56, Morgan's Cloud, including eight ocean races to Bermuda, culminating in winning his class twice in the Newport Bermuda Race. He has skippered a series of voyages in the North Atlantic, the majority of which have been to the high latitudes. John has been helping others go voyaging by sharing his experience for twenty years, first in yachting magazines and, for the last 12 years, as co-editor/publisher of AAC.

Any idea if that will at some point make it to podcast or video? I mean you have Andy and Brian! Can’t make it this year, going cruising… So not so bad. 😁

There was also a video camera in the back. Since I was tucked in at the side of the stage, I hope the video is published too!

      Hi James,

I know Andy is publishing as a podcast. Not sure what the plan is for video.
